A Death In The Family - Alex Roivas -
Roivas Family Estate, Rhode Island, 2000 A.D.
|
|
In the opening scene, just run around and keep yourself alive
until the next scene kicks in. After a series of cutscenes,
you'll find yourself in the Mansion Foyer. Turn to the clock
on the small table and take the Dresser Key from the
back. Enter the Library and go to the clock in the northeast
corner. Adjust the clock to read 3:33 and enter the newly
revealed hall. Open the door to enter the Secret Study. Select
the Tome of Eternal Darkness.

|
After the story sequence, head over to the ladder and go
down. At the other end of the hall is one of four blocks that
you will find to complete a puzzle later on. On your way to
it, you'll have to dispatch three Zombies. Pick up the Red
Granite Block and head into the next room, where you'll
need to fend off some more zombies to get the Green Granite
Block. Go on to the next room to get the Blue Granite
Block and then go down the ladder. Head to the doorway
to the south and prepare for a fight with a number of Zombies.
Once done with them, Pick up the Purple Granite Block.
Now place each of the blocks in their corresponding slots
along the wall to open up the northern door in the hall you
just left. Enter the northern room and destroy the statue.
Head through the open doorway and dispatch the zombies and
press the large glowing button. Step over to the glowing circle
to be teleported to another hall. At the end of the hall is
a decision. You can select one of three artifacts. Whichever
one you pick will affect certain bosses and the types of Zombies
and Horrors you have to face during the game.

Go across the room and take the Strange Necklace,
which has limited uses as a healing item. Head through the
south doorway into the next room and then head through the
next booby-trapped hall. In the next room, kill the zombie,
grab the Bronze Necklace and go over to the candle
display. Blow out the right candle and then head back to the
entrance room. Place the Bronze Necklace on the statue
and head through the now open north door. Pass through the
first room and the booby-trapped hall to another room with
a zombie you must remove. Go to the candle display and blow
out all of the candles. Enter the newly opened doorway to
the hall, where you need to grab the blowgun. After the short
scene, use the blowgun to take out the zombies before they
kill the guard. If you save him, take your broken sword to
him to have it repaired. Move from chamber to hall to chamber
until you reach Mantorok's chamber, where you need to grab
the Metal Bar. Return to the first corner chamber,
get rid of the zombies and use the Metal Bar in the
slot on the pyramidal stone. Now, go back to Mantorok's Chamber
and head for the room at the back.

| Suspicions of Conspiracy - Anthony - Amiens,
France, 814 AD |
|
After the cutscene, talk to the monks to find out what your
ultimate goal is - to get into the Bishop's Room. But, you'll
need to get a key for it. Examine the casket and speak to
the monk next to it to get a Scramasax. Head up the
stairs in the back and you'll end up in a hall. Cross over
and grab the Tome of Eternal Darkness. Now, once everything's
back to normal, head back up the stairs. Grab the Blue
Urn off of the shelf and use it. Pick up the broken urn
parts and the Rune. Grab the Circle of Power
from the desk and check the center bookcase to reveal a ladder.
Take it down. Wail on some zombies, one of which has another
rune for your collection. Go into the next room and save the
monk. He'll give you a Two-Edged Sword. Also, pick
up the Torch and parts of the Green Urn he dropped.
You may need the Torch to see them. Put all of the
pieces together by "mixing" them. Head into the stairwell,
grab the Codex and take out the zombie to get the Rune
inside him. Continue through the door at the bottom. Get rid
of the zombies, grab the Red Urn and Codex,
and use the torch on the tapestry to reveal the door you need
to enter. Get to the next room, where you need to get the
Codex and Spell Scroll. Use your new spell to
repair the Blue and Green Urns. Now, go back
to the fountain and fill them with water. Return to the small
library and use the three urns on the plate by the table to
unlock the secret passage. Head through the hall to the secret
room. Now, you'll have it out with the Bishop and some of
his monster pals. Grab the Bishop's Key and head back
to where you started. On your way back, you'll have to do
with a new enemy, the Trapper (see Monsters in sidebar). Once
back in the main hall, use the key to get another cutscene.

Go up to the second floor in the main foyer. Use the Second
Floor Key on the door. When it breaks, use your new spell
to repair it and use it on the door again. You can look around
some of the rooms to find some ammo. Enter the northwest bedroom
in the west part of the hall and grab another chapter that's
hanging out from behind one of the paintings. Use it.

After the opening sequence, head down the ladder. Pick up
the Tome as before. Head back down the ladder and along
the tunnel, killing zombies, picking up the Statuette and
Rune and moving on your merry way. In the next room,
go to the Rune Barrier, which'll dissipate. Head down the
ladder, grab the Statuette and Codex, and go
back to the previous room. Place one Statuette each
on two of the three circular mats and stand on the third.
This will raise the shrine. Before you move on, get rid of
the trappers and then step onto the new platform and activate
it to go down. Run through the hall, stopping only to take
another Tulwar out of a dead body. Deal with the dead
soldier and Bonethief within and head on. In the next room,
kill the zombies and grab the spell scroll. Go through the
door that isn't locked and go through the south door. Defeat
the Horror to get another Rune and grab the Codex.
Head back into the previous room and use your new Rune
to drop the barrier. Go down the ladder. Grab the Codex
and go through the door to the right. Pick up the Ram Doa
and then start laying into wave after wave of zombies.
One of the zombies with have another Rune for you.
Once done, head back to the room you got the spell scroll
in and use the Enchant Item spell with the correct alignment
on the Ram DOA Use it on the door to unlock it. Deal
with any enemies and head over to the ladder. Grab the Ruby
Effigy and head down the ladder and go over the rubble.
In the next room is a Horror. Enchant your weapon, waste him
and move on. Use the Tome on the skeletal hand to unlock
the next door and then pick it up again. In the next hall,
you're gonna have to do some serious fighting. Once all the
enemies are dead, go to the artifact at the end of the hall.

|
| The Lurking Horror - Dr. Maximillian Roivas
- Roivas Family Estate, Rhode Island, 1760 AD |
|
You start this chapter in the northwest bedroom. Grab the
Flintlock Ammo and head out into the hall. There is
more ammo littered about the house in the hall and other bedrooms.
Enter the east bedroom and grab the Letter and Codex.
Head down to the main foyer and grab the Letter. Enter
the kitchen to get a Codex, ammo and Pump Handle
in the pantry. Now, go into the formal dinning room and
head over to the fireplace. Move the raven statue over the
colored panel that corresponds with the deity that is dominant
over the one Pious picked at the beginning of the game. Go
through the opening into the secret study and grab the Sabre,
Spell, Flintlock and the all-purpose Tome.
When you go back into the dinning room, the servant will attack.
Kill him and the Bonethief within. Have Max perform an autopsy
before delivering a finishing attack. Go into the main foyer
and kill off the Horror for another Rune. Go upstairs
and go to the stained glass window at the end of the hall.
Try to avoid killing your servants as doing so saps your sanity.
Grab the Sealed Letter behind the table next to the
window and then deal with the Bonethief Read the Letter
and you get the Basement Key. Head back to the
main foyer and kill the Horror for yet another Rune
(Don't worry about the funky look of everything. It's intentional.)
Now go down to the wall behind the stairs with the glowing
symbol. Use the Reveal Invisible spell with the superior alignment
and use the Basement Key on the revealed door. In the
basement, grab the Codex and Spell Scroll and
use the Pump Handle to reveal a ladder in the well.
Go down and deal with a zombie to get the Rune inside
it. Keep going down, past the barrier that will dissipate.
Boss - Guardian Creature -
Make sure to set up your Enchant Item and Damage Field spells
to be aligned to the deity superior to the one Pious chose
at the beginning of the game. Enchant the Flintlocks and then
walk up to the first platform, near to the Guardian. Cast
Damage Field and shoot a double volley. The first shot should
break the Guardian's own protective field and the second shot
should hit home. Reload and repeat. From time to time, the
Guardian will summon a zombie. Let it bash itself against
the Damage Field. When the Guardian moves, follow it and keep
performing a double shot on it. You might want to go back
to the safety of your damage field when reloading.

the Tome. Use it.
|
| A Journey Into Darkness - Dr. Edwin Lindsey
- Angkor Wat, Cambodia, 1983 AD |
|
Be prepared for a heavily action-oriented chapter. After
the cutscene, deal with the beast by waiting until it nears
you and open it's wings. Shoot it in the head and move. Repeat
until it falls. Use the Archaeologist's Brush to clean
away the dust on the floor in the center of the room to reveal
a Bronze Bracelet, which you need to use on the statue
to open the south door. Go through the doorway. Grab the Tome.
Go through doorway again. Kill the zombies and move on through
the trapped hall, where you need to get the Metal Bracelet
and use the Brush to dust off the cobwebs for the Codex.
Head on. Ignore the Horror and grab the Bronze Necklace.
Return to the entrance and use the Bronze Necklace
on the statue to open the north door. Enter the next room
and grab the Silver Bracelet from under the Naga statue.
Quickly replace it with the Metal Bracelet. Head west
into the trapped hall and brush the cobwebs off another Codex.
Go into the next room and finish off the zombies for a Rune.
Head into the next hall, where you need to use the brush on
the cobwebs across from the statue to get a spell scroll.
Continue south until you're back in the room with the Horror.
Use Dispel Magick and then kill off the Horror. Grab the Silver
Necklace. Go back into the previous hall and use the Silver
Bracelet and Silver Necklace on the statue to open
a door behind you. Go down the steps, killing zombies along
the way (one with have a rune). A similar beast from the beginning
of the level will attack. Take care of it as before and continue
on. In the next area, the halls are trapped with poison gas.
You'll need to push a panel in each neighboring room to delay
the release of the gas as long as possible. Head south and
in the next room stand on a floor panel to make the guard
statue turn around. Run over to the second statue and grab
the Gold Bracelet. Head out through the east door,
take note of the purple barrier and enter the next room. Use
Dispel Magick to remove the Damage Field and release the Xel'lotath
Rune. Head north through the next hall to the next room. Once
again, cast Dispel Magick to remove the Damage Field and release
the Ulyaoth
Rune. Head onto the last room, where you'll come across a
Xel'lotath Horror. Dispatch it, use Dispel Magick on the Damage
Field to remove the last component to the purple barrier.
Brush off the cobwebs and take the Necklace. Return
to the southeast corner room and place the Necklace
in the fountain basin and push the button to fill it with
acid. You then get the Gold Necklace. Head north into
the hall and place both the Gold Bracelet and Gold
Necklace on the statue and enter the newly opened doorway.
Fight your way down the stairs, enter the next hall and head
to the north door. Deal with the zombies and use the brush
to get the Codex. Go through the west door, and work
your way through the next few corridors and rooms, killing
one zombie to get another Rune. In the southeast corner
room is a Summon Spell Scroll you need. Go back to
where the purple barrier was and cast the Summon Trapper
Spell. Maneuver the trapper through the hole in the wall,
across the bridge and onto the purple floor panel that will
open a door behind Lindsey. Once in control of Lindsey, go
and grab the Rune. A Horror will break through the
wall and attack. Cast a Damage Field Spell where you're at
and let the beast smash itself against it while you fill it
full of lead. Once the Horror is dead, enter the chamber and
use the brush to get another Codex. Now, work your
way all the way back down to the chamber where you found the
spell. Enter Mantorok's Chamber.

Head into the Library and look at the book case on the right
center to get the Essence of Mantorok. Now, head up
to the second floor hallway and to the stained glass window.
Cast the Dispel Magick spell and grab the next chapter page.
Use it.
|
| Heresy! - Paul Luther - Amiens, France,
1485 AD |
|
Note: Paul has very low health and really isn't that great
in combat. You will need to use magick and strategy in fights
with Bonethieves and Horrors. Enter the north door to
the sanctuary and walk until you get a cutscene. Once the
events unfold, turn to the painting and grab the Emerald.
After another scene, leave the room, cross over to the stairs
and head up. In the next room, avoid the zombie and enter
the east door. Go around and ring the bell. Speak with the
Custodian to receive the Old Tower Key. Go back to
the sanctuary and enter the west door, where you can get the
Crossbow. Look at the robes to get the Podium Key.
Go back and use the key at the podium to get a Diary Page.
Go down the steps in the back and grab the Mace and
Crossbow Bolts. Don't bother with the door to the cellar,
yet. You're not ready for that. Go back up to the sanctuary
and take the east door, where you'll have to deal with a Bonethief.
After dealing with him, grab the Spell Scroll and head
up the stairs, where another Bonethief will give you a hassle.
Grab the Sheet of Music and Diary Page. Go back
downstairs. Now, cast the Shield Spell, cast Enchant Item
on the Mace and enter the north door, where you'll have to
fight a sturdily undead familiar face. Once you fell your
foe, you get the Ruby and Two-edged Sword. Go
to the sanctuary and play on the organ with the Sheet of
Music to reveal the 5th Order Circle of Power.
Now, return to the basement and enter the cellar. Shoot the
Trappers with the crossbow and then look along the wine caskets
to find the switch to open the secret passage. In the next
room is a Horror and the Sapphire. Place the three
gems on the pedestal to reveal a secret staircase. Head into
the next room, where you'll deal with zombies to get another
Rune. Note: With the Pargon Rune, you can now remake
some of your spells with the 5th Order Circle of Power. While
the spells take longer to cast, they are more powerful.
Go down the next stairwell and enter the room where two Horrors
are beating on each other. Wait until one goes down, cast
a Damage Field and let the remaining Horror kill himself on
the Damage Field. Grab the Crossbow Bolts and enter
the west door. Go through the hall to the next room. Enter
the south door and go around to the Bishop's secret room to
pick up a Codex and Diary Page. Return to the
Bell Tower and talk to the Custodian to get the Sacrificial
Knife. Now, go back to the room where the Horrors fought
it out and use the Knife on the ornamental casket. Enter the
newly revealed door and walk around to the dead body on the
altar. After a scene, fight off the two Bonethieves and then
head back. Follow Augustine through the east door.

use it.
|
| The Forbidden City - Roberto Bianchi -
The Middle East, 1460 AD |
|
You will need to Survey (read: examine by using the B button)
five areas in the tomb before you can finish. Head over to
the ladder and go up. Cross the room, go down the ladder,
avoid the zombie and go up the next ladder. Grab the Saif
and Crossbow Bolts and take a Survey before taking
the next ladder down. In the next area, you will need to open
a series of gates and deal with zombies before moving onto
the next ladder. In the next chamber, take a Survey and grab
the Crossbow. Go down the next ladder (After a prerequisite
trip to get the Tome of Eternal Darkness), and either
sneak past or dispatch the Trappers. In the next room, Enchant
your weapon and deal with the Winged Beast. Grab the Spell
Scroll and move on, dealing with the Horror before entering
the next room. After a scene, have Robert take the east door
and take the first door after the ladder. Take a Survey and
then leave before the "mentally unstable" workers
come for him. Take the ladder down and deal with the Trappers.
Go to the doorway in the south and wait for the Horror to
finish off the Zombies for you. Finish it and then examine
the pedestal. Cast a 5th Order Reveal Invisible spell, cross
over and take the Forgotten Corridor Key. On your way
back to the ladder, you should pick up an Effigy. Now,
go up and enter the east door. Cast a Shield Spell and run
down the hall to the end. In the next room, slash the rope
to lower the bridge. Once on the bridge, two giant worms attack.
Equip the crossbow and get off the bridge. Shoot both and
then get back on the bridge to make a Survey. Throw the lever
and return to the room where you saw the zombie get crushed.
Use the Summon Zombie spell and walk the zombie to the pressure
plate. Go down the ladder. In the next hall is a Winged Beast
that likes to summon Horrors and Trappers. It's probably in
your best interest just to run past it. In the next room,
advance on the shrine to initiate a cutscene. Afterwards,
perform a Survey and head back to the room you started the
chapter in.

|
| A War to End All Wars - Peter Jacob -
Amiens, France, 1916 AD |
|
Grab the Soldier's Letter #1 and then go up to the
lectern and grab the Sealed Envelope. Check it to get
the Orders. Go out the south door, head up the stairs
and grab the Soldier's Letter #2. Go back down and
h and the Orders to the soldier guarding the door.
Now, enter the door. Grab the Tome of Eternal Darkness.
Reenter the door and grab the 8mm Revolver. When the
power goes out, the cathedral will fill with Bonethieves.
Since you have so little ammo, just run past them on your
way back to the lectern to grab the .303 Rifle. Grab
the Sheet of Music from the organ and take the stairs
down. Grab the ammo lying around and go into the wine cellar.
Get rid of the Trappers and enter the boiler room to the west
and turn on the valve. Go across to the east room, place the
Lucky Penny in the fuse box and then pull the lever
to turn the power back on. Go back to the boiler room and
summon a Trapper. Walk the Trapper under a hole in the wall
and remove the dead body next to the door. Enter the room
and grab the 7th Order Circle of Power. Go back up
to the cathedral and get rid of the Bonethieves. Now, play
the organ to get the Door Handle. Enter the east door,
deal with the Bonethieves and go up the stairs to get the
Two-edged Sword. Return to the sanctuary and go to
the rune on the west side. Cast a 7th Order Reveal Invisible
spell to see the door. Use the Door Handle and enter
the next room. Grab the ammo and go down the ladder. Work
your way into the next room and once it's clear, take the
west door. In the next room, grab the Soldier's Letter
#3. Continue on to find the Binding Hall Key. Return
to the room where you fought the Horror and Zombies and go
through the south door. Grab the Magickal Elixir and
return. Use the key on the east door and head through the
halls and stairs. Grab the Magical Attack Spell before
heading into the last room.
Boss - Guardian of Deity -
Depending on the deity Pious chose, this fight will be different.
Chattur'gha: Dodge the
initial fire balls and then avoid the beast's tongue, which
will draw you close in. If you dodge the attack, the Guardian
will stop to rest. Use this time to cast a 3rd Order Magickal
Attack (Superior). Keep doing this until you've hit it three
times. Next, the Guardian will summon three zombies. A second
or two after the third one is raised, cast the Magickal Attack
as the Guardian is resting. After hitting it twice, the Guardian
will draw you in close with a energy field. Run back and forth,
dodging attacks. After five successful dodges, the Guardian
will pause. Hit it with a Magickal Attack and go back to dodging.
After another nine dodges, use Magickal Attack again. Keep
this up and he'll fall soon.
Xel'lotath: Dodge the
magical attack and the Guardian will stop to rest. Use this
time to cast a 3rd Order Magickal Attack (Superior). Keep
doing this until you've hit it three times. Next, the Guardian
will summon three zombies and attack you with magick if you
get too close. When the Guardian glows, it is resting. That
is when you need to hit it with a Magickal Attack. After hitting
it twice, the Guardian will draw you in close with a energy
field. Run back and forth, dodging Magick Attacks. After five
successful dodges, the Guardian will pause. Hit it with a
Magickal Attack and go back to dodging. After another nine
dodges, use Magickal Attack again. Keep this up and he'll
fall soon.
Ulyaoth:

| The Legacy of Darkness - Edward Roivas
- Roivas Family Estate, Rhode Island, 1952 AD |
|
Grab the book off of the fireplace to get a Minute Hand.
Go to the second part of the library and grab the Spell
Scroll. Now, go over to the kitchen and grab the ammo
and grab the Sabre from the dinning room. Go upstairs
and grab all the ammo you find and the second volume of the
Roivas history. Inside is the Hour Hand. Go back to
the clock in the library and place both hands. Move the hands
to 3:33 and enter the secret study. Grab the Tome of Eternal
Darkness, Revolver and ammo. Head out and kill
the possessed servant to get the Basement Key Bottom Half.
Now, you must save the servants from the beast by casting
a Reveal Invisible spell and fighting off the creature as
he attacks the servants. Go to the master bedroom and hit
the creature in the head until it leaves. Talk to the servant
to get the Gun Cabinet Key. Use the key on the gun
cabinet to get the Elephant Gun. Head downstairs and
then make your way back to the room with the gun cabinet to
save the servant there. Go down to the main foyer and save
yet another servant. This time, the creature will drop the
Basement Key Top Half. Mix the two key parts and enchant
them. Use them on the basement door. Cast a Shield Spell and
equip the Elephant Gun. Go down into the basement and
avoid the beast while blasting the obelisk. After three double-blasts,
the obelisk should be done with. Switch to the sabre and kill
the beast once and for all. Grab everything in the room and
go down the ladder. When you come up on the two Horrors, hit
them with a Magick Attack and finish them off with the shotgun.
Enter the next room.
Boss - Greater Guardian -
Make sure to enchant your shotgun and keep on the move. Take
out the Horror and then focus on the Guardian. The Guardian
will cast magickal attacks and summon zombies from behind
a Damage Field. Come up on it and cast Dispel Magic and then
blast it with the enchanted shotgun. It will turn into a ball
of light and move elsewhere. Follow it, but not too closely.
When it reforms, blast it before it can set up another Damage
Field. Keep on him until he goes down.
Enter the door on the east side of the hall. In the next
room are nine arrays that you have to set to certain runes.
Select the array, enter the teleport pad, change the rune,
enter the teleport pad to another room, where you'll have
to throw a switch and make your way back to array room. The
arrays are numbered from left to right:
1) Pargon - Let the Horrors wear each other down and
go into the moat for the lever.
2) Redgormor - Avoid the Horror and Trapped to get
to the lever over the bridge. This room will go to room 1.
3) Pargon - Throw the lever and run out of the room.
4) Pargon - Go down the stairs, pull the lever and
leave.
5) (Superior) Deity - Ignore the Guardian and flip
the switch at the top of the stairs. Go down and head towards
the camera along the side paths.
6) Pargon - Shoot the Trappers before flipping the
lever. You will pass through room 5 before heading back.
7) Pargon - Run around the central ring, avoiding attacks
as you flip the switch. Cast Dispel Magick by the Guardian
and use a Magickal Attack to get him to move out of the doorway.
8) Nethlek - Use Dispel Magick and attack the Guardian
to get it to move from in front of the lever.
9) Pargon - Use Dispel Magick and attack the Guardian
to get it to move from in front of the lever.
Now, escape from the city.

| Ashes to Ashes - Michael Edwards - The
Middle East, 1991 AD |
|
Use the ax to clear out the Zombies and then pick up the
OICW Rifle, Glock 9mm, and ammo. Go into the
next hall and run past the Winged Beast to the room beyond,
where you'll need to take the ladder down. In the next hall,
take the next ladder on the left and grab the Gold Amulet.
Return down the ladder and take the next ladder to a room
with a Staff. Combine the Staff and and Gold
Amulet for later use. Return to the ladder hall and take
the last hall. Use the combined staff to burn the two golden
domes in the clay city. Once both have been burned (mirrors
will appear), focus the light on the center spire. Go down
the new ladder. Take the Tome of Eternal Darkness.
Go down the ladder again, go through the next corridor and
take the ladder up. Get rid of the two Horrors and go down
the next ladder. In the following hall, shoot the worms that
attack from the open pit and then cast a Dispel Magick spell
to get the Green Effigy. Now, go back to the ladder
before the worm pit and take it up to a room with a Horror
and Zombies. Go down the ladder and take the next hall to
the door. Dispatch the Trappers and go through the unblocked
door. After killing the zombies take the only available door
to you. In the circular chamber, use the Effigies under each
of the reliefs in this order: Red Effigy under Sorcerer, Green
Effigy under Warrior, Blue Effigy under the Scholar. Return
to the room where the stairs have opened up. Go down and grab
the Enchanted Gladius. Note: Michael can not equip this. Now,
go back to the room where you fought off the zombies. Cast
a Trapper and have it send the giant obelisk away. Go down
the ladder and keep going down the get the Bind Spell. Cross
over into the next room and cast the Bind spell to have the
two Horrors fight it out, Finish off the winner and grab the
Plastic Explosives. Return to where you removed the obelisk
and cast a 7th Order Reveal Invisible Spell. Enter the revealed
door, grab the Detonator Caps and go down the hall. Take out
the worms over the pit and mix the Detonator Caps and Plastic
Explosives. Cast and Enchant Item spell on the Explosives
and place them in the center of the bridge. Now, run like
you wouldn't believe to get out. You have three minutes, so
don't waste the time to fight with any of the beasts. The
path out is a little different, but fairly straightforward.

| Alex Roivas - Roivas Family Estate, Rhode
Island, 2000 AD |
|
From the library, head into the observatory. Move the light
and mirrors in this room, so that it reflects off of each
of the mirrors and into the correct spot on the globe. Now,
head for the basement, but pick up the parcel at the front
door along the way. Inside are some essential items, especially
the Enchanted Gladius, which you'll want to equip. Go down
to the basement and open the wooden door. Go down the ladder
and run through familiar territory. Cross the long hall where
Edward Roivas had his battle with the Guardian to the door
on the other side. In the array room, pick up the two Pedestal
Fragments and mix them and cast and Enchant Item to fix them.
Place the Pedestal in it's correct spot and then place the
three Artifacts on the pedestals. Now, use the arrays ad Edward
had. You won't have to throw any levers this time around.
The arrays are numbered from left to right:
1) Pargon - Cast a Reveal Invisible spell to see the
true floor.
2) Aretak - Finish off the Trappers and head out.
3) Pargon - Here you need to Summon a Trapper, Zombie
and Horror under the correct signs and walk them onto the
pads to get out.
4) Pargon - Sneak out of the room. Especially on the
purple flooring. Unless you like being eaten alive.
5) (Superior) Deity - Shoot the Trappers and exit through
the door behind where Alex arrived.
6) Pargon - Cast Reveal Invisible to see the Trappers
and then shoot them.
7) Pargon - Stand close to the center of the room and
cast a 7th Order Magickal Attack aligned to Mantorok.
8) Tier - Cast a Dispel Magick Spell and then run for
the door.
9) Pargon - Bind one of the Horrors and then finish
off whomever's left after the fight.
Now enter the portal for the final fight.
Boss - Pious -
You need to spend the fight throwing the Enchanted Gladius
at Pious' head from a distance. When you hit him, the artifact
will appear. Run to it and hit it. Avoid Pious' Magickal Attacks
and continue the pattern of hitting him in the head and then
hitting the artifact. After the third time, You'll take over
as the spirit of the previous Chosen Ones. As Ellia, you need
to go to the Tome and then attack the artifact. After the
attack, you'll switch back to Alex, who'll need to hit Pious
in the head once again. Repeat until the artifact is destroyed.
Now, Alex just needs to focus on hitting Pious until he goes
down.

Zombies - There are four types:
- Mantorok: Very weak and easy to finish off.
- Xel'lotath: Tends to regrow "phantom" limbs and
likes to drain sanity. Best to use torches to burn them down.
- Chattur'gha: Strong and have regenerative capabilities.
- Ulyaoth: Aim for the head. When they stand still and start
vibrating, get clear. They're about to explode.
Trapper - Small creatures that focus on sound. Sneak past
them or use ranged weapons to get rid of them. If they see you,
they'll send you to a Trapper dimension that you will have to escape
from.
Horror - These larger creatures are powerful, have hard
armor and like to drain magic, life, or sanity. Try to enchant a
weapon and aim for the heads/necks.
Bonethieves - These beasts like to hide inside other creatures
or NPCs. They can cause LOTS of damage with their claws. Aim for
the head and keep slashing until they go down.
Winged Beast - These creatures like to hide their heads
within their armored wings. Wait until they get near and hit them
in the head, then retreat. If they manage to hit you, they like
to summon other creatures in celebration.

Try to decapitate the zombies with a headshot. They will
flail about, unable to see you if they have no head.
Always be sure to use the alignment superior to your enemy's
alignment when casting Enchant Item, Dispel Magick or Damage Barrier
spells
If you're taking a beating, step outside of the room, heal
up and head back in. The monsters won't have rehealed and will be
waiting patiently for your return.
While you may want to avoid Trappers and the trapper dimension
they send you to, if you are low on sanity, you might want to "accidentally"
get sent there and use the green pad to refill your sanity.
When walking through trapped hallways, take note of floor
panels that can set off traps and try to avoid them.
When you have Magick Pool spell, set it to Mantorok and use
it often to slowly regain Sanity, Health and Magick.
