After around three years of waiting, we finally have a new
release from the Deftones, and it was well worth the
wait. The White Pony is more sublime and well written
than previous albums. Even though there are a few heavier
tracks, the album as a whole is thoughtful and subdued.
It is obvious that real thought has gone into the creation
of the album as a whole. Unlike other albums, even the Enhanced
CD section seems to have been done well and doesn't seem to
be any better than the album itself.
For anyone who wants a hard rock album that doesn't reek
of the dirty testosterone of Kid Rock or Korn,
quickly snatch this album up. It's finally refreshing to hear
an album not dripping with pimp-isms and overbearing anger
at everyone.
