Vin Diesel plays an extreme sports athlete turned spy in this promising action film, and he actually pulls it off!

The Good: First and foremost, the special effects are on par with some of this years other exceptional blockbusters (i.e. Star Wars Episode 2) and then some going into this film you can expect plenty of tasty eye candy. Eye-candy aside, action sequences are the meat and potatoes of this film, from the roaring avalanches to the intense gun fights this film will keep you on the edge of your seat and make your whole body tremble with excitement. The main star, Xander also spouts some quirky albeit funny one-liners and some gamers may notice a few references sprinkled in also.

The Plot: While the plot isn't the most original it does keep it value throughout the films entirety, and it goes a little like this: Xander, an extreme sports athlete is hired to do a secret mission to stop and evil Russian cult from destroying the world, along the way he meets up with his fellow co-star the beautiful Asia Argento (pronounced Ahs-ee-ah) and finds out that she to is a secret agent. While its (obviously) not overly complicated or boring it suits the movies style very well.

The Bad: The movie is very unrealistic and has a lot of over-the-top antics that may turn some movie buffs off. The film is most definetly a guy-flick and appeals to the 14-40 yr old age group, so don't bother inviting your girlfriend to see this one folks. Also, the plot is unoriginal and for the most part, mediocre. But what do you expect from an action movie? Other then these minor flaws I realy have no more complaints, the cast was well picked and the movie was fune to watch.

Overall, this movie is strictly entertainment, no more, no less. Action buffs will get a good kick out of it and It'll also satisfy any appetite for an adrenaline rush. If you fall into one of these two categories don't hesitate to see it. Everybody else, should stay away.
